Nikki Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, uploaded a picture of her parents on Twitter for their 57th anniversary, writing, “Celebrating Mom and Dad’s 57th Anniversary! We are blessed ❤.”
Haley has Indian ancestry, which is not something you can notice unless you see how her parents dress.
Haley’s parents are Sikh, but it has somehow gotten into Rosie O’Donnell’s mind that they are Muslim. O’Donnell thought it wise to attack Haley for working for President Trump despite having Sikh parents. Even though Trump has never displayed antagonistic behavior toward Sikhs.
“And u work for him – wtf is wrong with u nikki,” tweeted Rosie O’Donnell.
Haley is not in the habit of staying quiet if confronted, especially on a personal level, but she is yet to respond to O’Donnell’s comment. She has recently reprimanded a Palestinian leader who tried to tell her to ‘shut up.’
“I sit here today offering the outstretched hand of the United States to the Palestinian people in the cause of peace. We are full prepared to look to a future of prosperity and coexistence. We welcome you as the leader of the Palestinian people here today. But I will decline the advice I was recently given by your top negotiator, Saab Erekat: I will not shut up. Rather, I will speak some hard truths,” said Haley in a UN address.
